Technically, it's against the rules of the road to ever cross these double yellow lines. If that's so, you should be untouchable to drivers if you ever decided to walk down them. One time, I saw a man walking down the highway on these double yellow lines. My mother said he was stupid for doing so but I was jealous because it was something I had always wanted to do.
