Under-paid, over-worked. Truck drivers in India drive on among most accident prone roads. No holidays after long hauls, combined with incentive to finish trip ahead of schedule. Errors are bound to occur. Transport cartel multiplies problems by overloading and using adulterated diesel. If drivers protest, they are beaten up or fired because they are hired informally. Accident prone, AIDS carrier, rash, lout many labels, no sympathies.
