Florida's "wild and scenic" Loxahatchee River is hidden gem. Just a few miles west of Jupiter, the river winds and wends though ancient cypress stands, past mangroves shading turtles and alligators, and past wide open vistas. Listen closely and you can hear your heart thumping.
