This caught my eye, lying in the mud next to the creek where
I go to photograph nature. On the one hand, it's just trash; on the other hand it had a certain artistic bend to the pages. This phone book is in transition decaying back into the earth.

    Martie, this reminds me of Abelardo Morell's work in his 'Book of Books', in which he photographed old books that were damaged in a flood in the Boston Public Library. I don't know if you have seen it, but it is a gorgeous body of work.
