Brooklyn, NY (Shoot the Freak)

One of Coney Island's more eccentric attractions is "Shoot the Freak." $3 buys the participant five paint-ball chances to shoot an armored man ducking behind crates, taunting the audience with brazen displays of bravado. During a slow moment, José takes a break from dodging fire to do what most people do in Coney Island: see and be seen. The future of this, and other Coney Island attractions, is uncertain, with pending redevelopment and gentrification of Stillwell Avenue.

I love all of your photography, but I will choose this to comment...This is a great shot of the "shoot the geek" guy. The tones, expression and comp are great, a compliment that would fit for most of your other work as well.
    Cheers!

This is such a great photo. I've actually taken many photographs at that exact spot, as a brooklyn native, documenting what's left in my own series. Who knows how much longer it's going to be there.
Definitely well done and great series
