The book I'm reading is "The Photographer's Handbook; Third Edition," by John Hedgecoe. It was the first photography book I ever bought. Its a little old, but super helpful. Its a true source of useful information and includes a wide variety of subjects such as different cameras, lenses, equipment, black and white film, black and white processing, black and white printing, color film, color processing, color printing, working with light, using lenses, working with black and white, working with color, controlling movement, composition, photographing people, studio techniques, special darkroom techniques, special projects, storage and display, fault analysis and working in photography. Each subject is taken into detail with great directions and tips. The book is filled with over one thousand illustrations that are not only supportive, but inspirational.
