Atlantic spotted dolphins are not really the "friendly" dolphins you think of when you think of dolphins. Sure, they'll approach swimmers, but by and large they're standoffish, disinterested and somewhat condescending ("You can only swim how fast?").
So when they do approach, it's really special.
