I would like to introduce to you my granddaughter Alexis Reanne.
She is our first grandchild from our eldest daughter Aileen. She have the same birthday as her grandpa, my hubby Ed. I was at my daughter bedside aside from her husband when she was born and one of the first person to see and heard her first cry.(The doctor almost dropped her!!!) The first thing that the nurse attendant noticed was her thick hair. It was not noticeable then that her hair will turn curly. She got that from her dad's side, including her long eyelashes. Alex reminds me of my daughter, her mom, when she was her age (Alex was born July 16,2008, while her mom was July 13)They have the same chubby cheek and round face.
Alex is the apple of our eyes. She is so much loved by everyone especially her great grandma, my mother in law. Whenever she feels lonely and sad, we will just mention Alex name and she will lighten up. I truly hope and wish that I will live long enough to see her and the others that will follow until they grow up. I hope she will grow up smart and beautiful like her mom. Right now, I'm looking forward when she starts crawling, walking, talking and running. Until that day comes around, we are so delighted to see her every time.
Her bottom tooth is coming out just right now and she started taking her soft solid food a while back. She can hold her bottle and respond whenever she hears her name called.
Alex turned 1 year on July 16, 2009. It was a fun and memorable occassion. Our cherish one is one! Looking forward to the next birthday.
Alex turns 20 months old. She still does occasional modelling. Last photo shoot she had was with Target.
Aileen, her mom was telling me that when they went for photo shoot, she was already done with her part but still does not want to go. Aileen has to carry her but then she went back to the spot where she was supposed to stand (it was marked with an "X") glance down if she was on the right spot and look at the photographer and smile. The photographer was laughing and commented that he never saw anyone like Alex who wanted to be photographed, lol!
He said normally, the kid would be so eager to go once they are done, but not with Alex.
