He's got the BLUES

«Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the last genuine Chicago Bluesman».
And Magic Slim loomed out of the fog on the stage of the «Aosta Blues Festival», in the small town where I live since the day of my birth, in the far northwest of Italy. That was one of the only two italian shows of his tour, and the legendary Teardrops (Micheal Dotson, Nick Holt and Allen Kirk) were with him.
The groove of that 70 years old man literally kidnapped me. I was there to take a couple of shots for the local newspaper, but when I began taking pictures of him, I couldn't stop and I came back home with over 250 photos on the CF of my camera.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I can say that he's got the Blues. He's got the blues! He's got the blues in his teethless mouth, in his fingerless hand, in his bent fingers and in his bright red Gibson.
