Grit and Splatter

Graffiti. Tagging. Street art. Vandalism. No matter what you call it one thing is undeniable; it has a beauty that is truly unique and which can never be recreated in exactly the same way.

Cracks and grit striped with the flowing strokes of a well guided artists hand. Splatters and drips which branch off from each piece, making small displays of art themselves. Ruins bathed in art, and rubble showered in a colorful beauty. As I stare at the textures my heart is filled with sadness at the thought that at any moment it could all be wiped away and forgotten forever. And so i capture what I can, though it can never be quite the same at least I can immortalize a fragment of what is here for the world to have forever, whether anyone wants it or not.
