Springtime Walk in San Rocco

Palazzo Buds

Springtime in Tuscany looks like vibrant impressionist paintings in progress. Waking up to a beautiful spring morning and seeing from my balcony the play of morning light on nearby flowers and blooming trees, I quickly dressed and grabbed my camera. Minutes later, I walked the winding streets of the Tuscan village I live in, San Rocco, a small bedroom community of Siena. Feeling the warmth of the sun and drinking in the heady smells of flowering trees and bushes, I snapped one picture after the other in a way that felt like my camera was canvases, brushes, and paints all in one.
