After the Storm

Recycling Plant

I had a fight with my husband the night before and I just had to get out of the house. I waited until this giant thunderstorm had passed. I got my dinner and I ate alone. Afterwards I noticed that the sky was starting to clear and the sun was setting at the same time. I grabbed my camera and headed for the beach. The bolts of lightning were incredible but I couldn't seem to catch them on camera. I made it to Oil City when the sun burst through the clouds and that is where I had to stop. The recycling plant was all aglow and there were lakes of water from all the rain we've been having. The cloud formations and the color of the sky were surreal. I later completed my journey to the beach but it was so dark by then I just drove around and went home.

I think you have a good subject with this old oil raffinery, for sure there are many things to explore in it...
