Every woman is beautiful

Love Yourself
A Woman's Curves
The woman in red

My dear friend Michelle has recently lost a lot of weight and, she looks fabulous. However, she still harps on the things that she is still not happy with. Her legs and arms are larger than she would like them to be. She recently came to me with a very cool concept in an attempt to buck society. She wanted me to take boudoir portraits for her. Not for her husband but, for herself. She is proud of the progress she has made as a woman and, wanted something to say "It's OK to be a real woman". Not everyone has to be a size 2 to be beautiful. As women, she and I want the other women with life experience in this world to step up and realize that they too are beautiful. We are challenging every woman out there to do something that society says is not OK. Find a photographer that you trust and, book them to take your boudoir portraits. It does not matter what size, shape, age, or color you are. Every woman was made with beauty. I am very proud of Michelle for stepping outside her comfort zone and, proving that you don't have to be a tiny little, 20 something woman to be viewed as beautiful. Just love yourself ladies.

Thank you Martin. I took my friends challenge and had her take pictures of me. I was so pleasantly surprised and I can't help but think that everyone else out there would be too if they will just take the leap. It is a liberating experience and really does help to boost that self esteem.

Wonderful story and your friend should feel elated by your photos. I'm sure she feels much different know. Tell her there not many serious artists or photographers that would not like to work with her, she appears to have been an experienced model. Great job...

Thank you all for your very kind words! Cheryl did an amazing job; we had so much fun shooting each other! I didn't realize how liberating and important it was to do this - we all have to stop saying we'll not do things like this until the "perfect time" or we "look good enough". We are all lovely and unique, right now, each in our own way, just the way we are - it's high time we let ourselves believe that!

Not every woman can be a size 2, & they are still ALL BEAUTIFUL! That's a great story, & I hope it does get published. Very good pics as well. She is a very beautiful woman & should be proud of what she has. Now, we just need you to take some pics of my wife...For her & me! LOL

I love this, it's so true and not nearly as recognized as it should be.
