Sleeping in the train : a challenge !
By Olivier Scher

Sleeping in a train can become a real challenge if you don't use sleeper one.
I use to travel a lot in France, mainly by train, and often see people falling asleep during the trip because of the repetitive movement of the train.
It's always interesting to observe how people deal with the seat space to find a comfortable position to rest a little bit.
I remember a comment of a JPG member who told me that the train I were using were not really "alive" cause I was always showing quiet or asleep people. But he was right, most of the time people try to sleep (even if they try to resist) maybe because I always take trains quite early to reach Paris for work every week-end...
I wish you a good night for your next train trip !

I've been an outlier for years and took the train each morning very early...I was able to sleep even for only 5-10 minutes between a stop and the next, knowing exactly when open my eyes to get off the train! Your shots perfectly show life of people working far away from their home...very good collection! Well done and well written!

Tout un art de dormir dans le train... En plus qu'est ce qu'il y fait froid! Super "story" en tout cas!
