Same Pose Different Presentations

The more I experiment with photography the more I realize how many and creative sides there are to it. This gallery illustrates the many different presentations that can be given to one pose.
There are so many different and exciting ways to experiment with photography; first and foremost the actual taking of the picture aiming for an artistic approach. One has to decide upon design, lighting, angle, colours, contrasts, textures, focal point, shadows, interest and exactly what one wants to portray. One's focus for each photo is different, perhaps trying to capture the mood, which changes according to subject, lighting, feeling, softness etc. One can also strive for boldness, abstraction, realism, cubism, high lights, emotional effects, in your face captures, humor, simple things in life, portray our everyday lives, the problems requiring solutions, things that make life worthwhile, encouraging others or even just try and experiment with something new that came into your mind. The possibilities are endless.
The JPG community is very friendly and helpful and will often offer good suggestions worthy of notice. It is a place to learn and the learning seems never ending which makes the experience so wholesome and appealing and that in itself gives one the desire to continue experimenting despite failures some times.
When taking portraits the most interesting aspect to have in mind for me is to be able to read your subject and portray their character, features and expressions, perhaps even capture what they are thinking about at that moment, their interaction with others or their surroundings. Sometimes changing the colour or saturation of the photo slightly makes a huge difference to its success. One of the most fun things in photography are all the features available to help you improve your photo and that takes a huge amount of fun, time and experimenting which is all more than worthwhile once you understand how to use them. It is also intriguing to note that by making a small change in an artistic way, without changing your pose you can make a totally different photo. So here is some more experimenting.
