DisneyLand--Where Nobody Gets Old

DisneyLand: a place full of color, vibrance, people, architecture, performance, and more. A haven for kids, teens, the young at heart, photographers, and adventurers.
Given the fact that I love taking pictures, having been a Disney enthusiast since the day I was born, and the fact that I've been a Disney virgin since about less than a month ago, this was truly a dream come true.
Interesting subjects doesn't even start at the entrance, but even before the entrance. To reach Hong Kong DisneyLand, you'd first have to ride a train full of DisneyLand icons, and it's uphill from there.
10 hours of time just didn't cut it for me, there were just so many things to see and shoot. Once I saw the large DisneyLand signage, giddyness definitely got the best of me. Being trigger happy definitely didn't help me at all.
First off everyone should probably take off, though already probably overused is the architecture. One shot of the main DisneyLand castle, and a couple of shots here and there for the landscaping, and more buildings. You won't get tired of the buildings since they're all designed differently and are all oh so colorful.
Second thing to attack are the performances. I definitely enjoyed the three performances I was able to take shots off; the band performance, the Mickey Mouse Water Works Parade, and the Lion King performance. The mascots were very vibrant, plus given that most if not all people are aware of the Disney characters, it's not hard for most people to appreciate them. They're the most lovable creatures you'll find. The most challenging was the Lion King performance, for it being the one with low light, and fast movement, you must be quick on your toes and find a way to focus and snap just when light falls on a performer. It's both a challenge, and a lot of fun.
Thirdly, are the random structures, bridges, walkways, street signs, rides, hidden mickey's or anything that isn't in motion that's just too interesting to pass. There's just so many interesting objects in DisneyLand you just won't find anywhere else.
Last but not the least, are the people enjoying the place. They can be the people your with, or they can be random kids frolicking around. It can also be a couple enjoying a stroll through the park, a parent and kid enjoying their quality time together with their favorite Disney buddies, or a group of friends simply having fun. The happiness, excitement, enjoyment, total emotion you'd see in DisneyLand is just too extravagant to miss!
So, the next time you're planning a photography trip, loosen up a little! Let go of all those rules, and just enjoy life as it should be enjoyed. Have fun in what you're doing and appreciate all the wonders as a kid would enjoy a pack of crayons. It's truly a refreshing experience, and you'd be surprised as to how amazing a little childish experience can bring color to your shots.
