Coffee is the most widely drunk beverage on a global scale. This series of images, shot specifically in response to the breakfast theme, contrasts coffee in classsically inspired and twenty-first century settings.

The shots are well done and work great together. When I lived in Brasil, there was a warehouse near the school that loaded burlap bags full of beans onto trucks. Every day, the smell of coffee beans permeated the air. Not that I'm complaining.
