An ode to Nan
16 Sep 2009
This is the house of my Nan and Granddad. The house I hold close to my heart. The house that reminds me of childhood. The house and the things that I will always cherish. The house that will soon be sold to strangers. The house that I will miss dearly and that is full of things that I will miss dearly.
Life is a cycle of change, this week brought the end of 84 years of a life well lived. The life of my Nan, Jean Sharp. As the prayer flags swayed in the wind her family sat by her side, it was time for her to move on. To rest from this life.
Above all it is my Nan that I will miss, but we attach ourselves to the objects that surrounded that person. And those are what I photographed this week.
She was a magical Nan, not only was she was the first female magician on stage; she was also my best model throughout my degree and a great inspiration throughout my life.
Here are some things that remind me of Nan.
Thank you Nan.
