A Day in the Rain-

The locals that showed up to the rally were all Latin Americans.
Me being from a Latin back round I know that when it comes to Religion we can can be very Passionate!! I was on my way home from the store when I seen the group gathering between 7th and 8th street on Avenue B-
So I rushed home and picked up digital instead of film- I some times need instant gratification, And this was one of these times...
I began to look for the emotion that I had already thought out before I even loaded my memory card.. And low and behold they were all there..
As I was doing my work I realized there was a Jazz festival in the park behind us ( Tompkins Square ).. Growing up in New York I have witnessed so many change. They varied from Cultural,Economic and Spiritual, I was very pleased at the end of this magnificent day to have been able to witness such a pure gathering for something worth while..
As time went on I was curious to find out what the out come of the gathering was? After a few board meetings that obviously I was not invited to, the lovely Church was allowed to stay standing.
I recently walked through the Lower East Side to see the changes that occur almost with in a breaths time, Unpleased I witnessed that the church is untouched it is basically there for eye candy... It still looks as pretty as ever to me.. Some of the very old original Irish stained glass windows have been taken I would guess by looters. One day I am hoping to have a chance to go inside to take a walk around and shoot some images of this wonderful place before it falls victim of yet another forgotten piece of New York history..
Here are a few images of the day, I added a few- Again as I stated in my last story I have plenty more I just wanted to give a touch. I hope you al enjoy some of the images as much as I enjoyed creating them.
Thank you, Foster Zeh
