Playing and listening to music has always been a past time in any culture. However, a rather new method of "playing" music has been taking the country and world by storm; Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero is a virtual simulation of playing a guitar for the biggest bands that have rocked the biggest ballads past and present, all the way from the rolling stones to the killers. Sometimes, you just want to sit around and listen to your favorite songs, well now with the technology we have you get to play. You can sit around and play an interactive version of your favorite songs by simulating pressing down the frets with your fingers and strumming with a switch. You can also play with a friend, you can duel for who's the best "rocker" or you can play together as a bassist and guitarist.
If you are a student in college, sometimes there are times when you feel like jamming out with your buds, but you don't have the space or equipment to really kill a riff that Jimi Hendrix used tear up. Or maybe you just don't have the talent and want to fool around and feel like you are playing a classic. At Endicott College in Beverly MA, for example, there are guitar hero tournaments held in the common room where upwards of 15 people play to be the best, and the guitar hero. No matter the age of the player guitar hero is a blast to play. Whether your playing as a group, with a friend, or just jamming away by yourself its a blast and it is a staple in the college community.
