I have a new hobby - rain painting! Lately I've been spending a lot of time riding as a passenger in and out of Manhattan twice daily. Anyone who drives to New York City daily will tell you that driving on a good day can be challenging, but driving when it's raining can be a nightmare from . . . well, you get my drift. Since I'm a passenger I take my camera every day. I do not suggest attempting this if you are driving!! I've discovered that when it's raining very hard, the windshield becomes a canvas that contorts lights and images into wonderful abstracts - hence, rain painting! If the rain is light, it creates a different effect. You obviously can't use a flash because all you get is a reflection off the glass. My husband may not feel exactly the same way, but I now wait for rain days so I can see what artwork awaits me.
