Chanukah (חנוכה)

Chanukah is the only Jewish holiday which is without biblical origins. Instead Chanukah was created by rabbinic decree and is considered by most as a "half-holiday" or a minor holiday when compared to other Jewish festivals. It has perhaps reached more prominence in American society because of its close proximity to Christmas providing a sort of Jewish alternative for children otherwise inundated with Santa. As to the cookies? NEVER eat anything on the set for a food shot.
