The urban zen?

Having lived in cities across the world, having loved them, having hated them, having seen the ugliness and having seen the natural beauty that we have lost; I wonder if I can also see the beauty in the concrete mess that we have created. I say mess because that is what I normally see, even though I have spent the last 10 years in various big cities I have always found it hard to really understand why we construct such concrete spaces for us to carry out our daily lives.
