Atibaia is a small town near to São Paulo. In the century XVII, it was an important place because of a group called Bandeirantes – adventurers who used to explore unknown places around Brazil looking for indigenous tribes and precious metal.
This group usually started its long and difficult journey from São Paulo and the very first town to rest it would be Atibaia, which was well-known for having great water for the adventurers.
