The Changing Dock

Falling Down

A little over a year ago I began to watch a dock by my home that had been partially knocked down by storms. The dock, a long old wooden dock lost it's battle with high waters a couple years back and began to fall apart into the lake.

One day I took a photo of the dock, it seemed like an interesting photo. Then I watched the dock and noticed that the dock, even though it never moved, did begin to take on a life of it's own. The dock would change in appearance depending on the weather and time of day. I decided that I should document the various views and began my project of trying to capture the docks various personalities. Here are a few of those variations. There are others on my JPEG page.

Beautiful images! If I ever decide to shot landscapes, all I have to do is look at these photographs for inspiration. Truly excellent photographs.
