South Tahoe, January, Elea, Ted

Since moving to San Francisco, most of the friends I've made have been involved with computer or internet jobs of one sort or another. Getting a little weary of all the near-constant industry talk, we started a new tradition of going up to Tahoe, renting a house for the weekend, with the one rule being no electronics allowed. The only exceptions made were for phones (useful in emergencies) and cameras (to remember our trips). We went up twice to Truckee in the summer of 2006 and had a grand time playing board games and poker, drinking, cooking, reading stories to one another, sitting in the river behind the house, and just talking like human beings that weren't so wired to information all the time.
As there are several skiers and snowboarders in our midst, a winter trip was in order. We rented a different house in South Tahoe towards the end of January, 2007. On the last day we were there, Ted was determined to hike up the hill across the street, having heard that there was a great view from there. Elea and I joined him, and all of us, cameras in hand, made our way up.

I probably should have rolled the "let's all go to the lobby" intermission reel.
