California Dreamin'

When I was young boy growing up in New Jersey, I took a particular liking to music from the late 60's. Maybe it was the fact that I was born in the summer of 1967, also known as the "summer of love," I don't know. One song that caught my ear was "California Dreamin" by the Mama's and the Papa's. I used to listen to it over and over again. The line "on such a winter's day" stuck in my memory. I longed for the sunshine and warmth of California. Well it's thirty years later and I am living the "California Dream."
