Molten Cat Play with Light and Shadow
By Michele Randell

Yesterday I started to work with some ideas for a new series based upon women's relationship with hair. Amongst the props I was going to use is a sheer curtain from the 70's printed with willow trees which I love for the beautiful shadows it creates with sunlight.
It was a beautiful winter's day and my cat couldn't resist playing between the windowsill and the curtain as it billowed in the wind.
I eventually gave up on trying to do the shots I had planned and joined in playing games with her. Much to her amusement she allowed me to wrap her up and drape her as my model all the time never complaining but going with the flow...It was if she knew what I needed that day.
To acknowledge and be in the now
I am glad I did as it yielded new ways of looking...

she did know what you needed - i think cats do that often and know just how we feel and what is right for the day. these are really nice and have a great feel to them. Light and frisky!
