Photo Essay

I visited Cuba on 2009. I got there so curious about how that people survive to the ideology of the Cuban regime and I returned home with more questions then answers.

People are very open to talk about a lot os issues but when the subject is politics, their faces speaks for themselves.

I avoided to directly photograph people I talked to as they asked me not to do that. So here you will find a general overview about this trip.

Excellent series of photographs. I actually like the perspective you had to use in order to respect the wishes of those you photographed. Though some of the photographs show intimate places and those found there, I get the sense that you respect those personal spaces by the distance that is implied. I really love these snapshots of Cuban life. You have showed people in their intimate, personal spaces, and done it in a very respectful manner.
