Color Inferred Film
By Eric Ianuzi
20 Nov 2010
Series of images photographed using Kodak Ektachrome Infrared EIR 35mm film with a Yellow 15 or Red 25 Tiffen Filter. The film has long been discontinued but is fun to experiment with if you can find an expired roll.
Images are not retouched. The film works best on sunny days with blue clear skies (avoid hazy days); the color captured is always a surprise and can be difficult to be plan out. Yellow 15 Filter generally changes green element such as grass and leaves to red/pinkish color; yet enhances the blue sky even more. The Red 25 Filter generally changes blue elements such as the sky to yellow; green elements go towards red.
