Beyond Versace

He is one of the crazy people-mental stress-that wandering the streets of the city i live, Yogyakarta.
They become of what they have become now for lots of reasons and different historical backrgrounds. They have survived by responding anything they encountered in the street. In this city, it seemed to be difficult to get the exact number of the mad men. I could find 3 to 5 new mad persons in a very short time. First impresson: I think they are very friendly, like being in front of the camera, and they don't like to disturb people.
I made a photography series in which I try to record the way they dressed and stated themselves. I will say their sense of fashion as expression of extreme-beyond Versace. Just look at their choice of fashion: simple dress, or complicated and freak.
But clearly that the majority of this city do not really care of the fashion of these people. To out in other words, the society do not really care of various aspects of them. The mad men--as usually thought by the society--is often being used as an effective tool to scare off the children.

Love your beyond Versace series. The framing & general grittiness of these fotos has a great feeling about it. Excellent.
