Bubblegum houses

Sardinian green house

Using bright colours on old architectural detail can produce startling results. I have chosen to bring out the structure by over-saturating. It's not pretty, it does not pretend to be real but I find the bubblegum effect wildly out of place. These are fairly ordinary houses in the real world but when I put my imaginary colour glasses on, I see them as theater sets. They come out with crazy personalities, costumed for carnival (which by the way, is about now). 1930's architecture lends itself particularly well to this but unfortunately there are very few around here so I make do with whatever seems to have potential.

Very fine set of pictures. You endow each of the houses with character. It is like a story written about each one. Every image is good and teh set is more than the sum of the parts. Congratulations. I have voted "yes".
