Photo Essay

Finally Spring is here!

The Worldâs Game

Living in Edmonton has it's challenges, but lack of sunshine really isn't one of them. Even in the middle of winter the sun comes out often and due to the low angle creates beautiful light effects and long shadows. The problem is that it could look like a beautiful summer day from inside a building or vehicle (what's that white stuff ¿), but the sun is so weak here that it is often -30 even while it's shining. By the way, it is irrelevant weather I'm talking Fahrenheit or Celsius!

Many of the photos I have taken in Edmonton this winter remind me mostly of cold hands. Well, winter has finally moved out of our city, but there are traces everywhere. Brown grass, gravel on the streets, potholes, dirt on brand new vehicles in dealerships lots, the list goes on, are all reminders of the brutally cold season that lies behind us.

Yesterday I headed out to capture some of the changes, leaving the gloves at home for the first time in a while. As usual, my eyes probably got side tracked. Hope you enjoy the photos!
