Patterns & Lines

I read in a photographic history text that there are six key elements in art composition--line, pattern, color, texture, shape and content. I keep this in mind when I'm out shooting and am always on the lookout for one or more of these elements. Here are some examples of interesting patterns and lines in architecture.
