I Love My Job

The Elyria Foundry incorporates centuries-old techniques to produce iron castings, and also serves as a key supplier in today's cutting-edge industries like mining and wind energy.
The company's products serve a variety of sectors; from agriculture and construction to the increasingly competitive alternative energy markets. New technology like wind energy still relies heavily on old-school industry to make their products a reality. Elyria is currently partnered with a German wind turbine manufacturer to produce $20,000,000 a year in propellor hubs and drive components.
The 33-acre facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a skilled workforce that is largely second and third-generation ironworkers. Sitting firmly in the Rustbelt, the foundry is one of few stable employers in the region; but a lack of young faces on the floor spells concern for the foundry's future.

Nice to see a story that indicates that people still have work skills. Something that, I believe, is lacking in our youth today.

I agree...things are changing in today's youth so yes I am also afraid of what the future can hold in the way of certain jobs. Nice pictures and story!!
