Awkward Age

Awkward Age

At night, many times, I will catch myself looking back in time. Not a few months, or even a couple years ago, but years and years ago, when I was young. When current events didn't bother me, and I didn't have a care in the world. When the imagination was pure. And that's what I remember most, the imagination.

I look back at the 'pure' times, due to my little sister, Mya. When I see her playing, I see myself when I was seven, climbing trees, and using my imagination to the fullest. I had to, I didn't have rides to friends houses, or wasn't in a short walking distance to their houses. I had to play on my own. I would think of the craziest stuff, and I laugh when I look back at it. I see my sister doing the same thing. The Awkward Age. That's what I call it because of the wild, colorful ideas you can create, when you use your imagination to it's utmost potential. When you are in need of something to do to entertain yourself when you're young. Childhood, Youth, Innocence, Adolescence. Call it what you like. But it's the age when the spirit is at its most awesome.
