Candid Camera Capture
By John Linton
18 Apr 2012
Candid photography catches moments of life from immersion in it. Candid photography is opposed to the stalking involved in animal photography, sports photography or photographic journalistic intrusion, which all have a focus on getting distant objects photographed, e.g. by using telephoto lenses. Candid photography's setup includes a photographer who is there with the "subjects" to be photographed, close, and not hidden. People photographed on candid shots either ignore or accept the close presence of the photographer's camera without posing. [Wikipedia]
I love taking photographs of people taking photographs and the cameras they use. To my knowledge none of the cameras I'm photographing have any idea that I'm taking their picture. The photographers probably don't know either.
I have no idea why I've turned my Candids into B&Ws, other than I seem to like them better that way.
PS I got the "10 Steps To Becoming A Better Photographer" by Virtual Photography off the internet. I have no idea who Virtual Photography is.

I love these images, John! I'm glad you have it in b&w. I am leaning towards black and white now a days and love to upgrade to a new camera or even a new lense.
