Life Floats

By Still Water (For Carol)

None of us are immune to the nature of the sea of life. One moment we sail smoothly along on our life's journey and the next a series of giant waves smash our boat and leave us struggling to catch our next breath. During such times we have two choices: drown or grab onto our life floats and ride out the storm until once again we can move forward on a gentle sea reflecting a blue sky and luminous light lighting our way home.

I continue to hold on firmly to my life floats: Love of God, love of family and friends, love of nature, love of writing and photography. In the distance I not only see that blue sky and guiding light, but the promise of a new adventure.

Recently I experienced the comfort of capturing images reflecting my life floats at Lakeside Park in historic Highland Park, near downtown Dallas.
