A respite from kin chaos!

Family traveled to this reunion from as far away as Australia, Cape Breton NS, and Edmonton Alta. It's been at least a decade since this many of the clan were in one place at one time.
The morning after the main boisterous and busy events of Day One, I woke before anyone else at our friends' house. I stepped out into their beautiful back yard and garden to a spectacular view, all the more so in the solitude and quiet of a 6:00 morning!
The honey suckle that completely obscured the back fence was in its last stages, the few remaining blooms giving off an delicate aroma that reminded me of jasmine tea.
A soft drizzle of rain started falling, setting up perfect light quality for a few macros. I wandered the garden shoving my lens into the clusters of exotic blossoms ... below is a sample of what I captured.
A renewing pause before more family festivities resumed at noon - for those who had survived day one and wanted more of the same.

What a wonderful essay. I could almost hear your quiet foot falls on early morning dew! I love waking up before anyone else. Feels like discovering a secret.
