the sierras.

bristlecone view.

I've had the luxury of living in California my entire life, from the north end to the south. I have seen the beach, I have seen the towns, but I have never had the chance to explore the mountains like I have until now. I took a five day trip exploring the Sierras and made the most of it. And let me tell you, I could easily have turned those five days into months, but like any working member of society, I take what I can get. We started off viewing the oldest trees born from the earth, and ended with the most stunning lake that is oddly enough infested with fly larvae, the main food source for the birds. If you are lucky enough to explore this vast region, take it in. There is so much beauty to be found, and yet, sadly, so little time to find it. Yet it makes you appreciate it all the more.
