Each year the Dallas State Fair comes alive in Fair Park, a 277 acre recreational and educational complex located in the heart of Dallas. This National Historic Landmark houses nine museums, six performance facilities, a lagoon, and the largest ferris wheel in North America. The historical buildings within the compound were constructed in 1936 for the Texas Centennial Exposition, which attracted over six million visitors. They remain significant examples of Art Deco architecture.
