It's the little things...

Jump! 5

Every time I look at the news I think, how could things get any worse? Then the shooting at the Sandy Hook School occurred, not too far from where we live. Not one of those parents who kissed their children goodbye that day knew it would be the last time they would see their child. Words can't describe how sickened and saddened I am about this horrific tragedy. I don't know if we will ever find a way to stop these things from happening and most people will not see eye to eye on the cause. What I DO know is we need to take the time to love our children. Slow down and cherish the moments we do have with them. Even when they are getting on your very last nerve and driving you to the brink of insanity, slow down and remember that one day you will miss this time and give anything to have it back. If there is anything good that can come from tragedy, it's the realization of how fragile life can be and the renewed appreciation for the little things.

Thank you so much! I am honored! I know parents all over America are hugging their children a little tighter after Fridays events. Here's to hoping that it never happens again and we don't lose that renewed focus on what's important.
