Beginning with the GOD's grace
29 Jan 2013
"No, this is not the beginning of a new chapter in my life; this is the beginning of a new book! That first book is already closed, ended, and tossed into the seas; this new book is newly opened, has just begun! Look, it is the first page! And it is a beautiful one!"
There is an proverb in English which says "A good beginning makes a good end." And a good beginning is necessary as "Winning starts with beginning." & "The beginning is the most important part of the work."
What I meant to say is that for every work to get finished easily and perfectly a good start is very important
Since in this new year I came up with some promises to myself and other it was very important for me to make sure that my beginning of the year is good and worthwhile
Hence to make my beginning of the year good or I should say great. I decided to start this year with the grace of GOD
or I should say by bowing down in front of god in 2 most popular temples of my town.
I decided to share the peace and grace I received from the almighty with you all and hence I'll take you all to the journey of these temples through my photo story.
"Ganesh Mandir, Jodhpur"
It is situated near to Umaid Bhawan palace and the autorickshaw can take you till the beginning of steps. There are about 60-80 steps to the main place of worship and once inside, you will feel in a divine place. On the way there is a small Hanuman temple as well. The place being on a height, gives a great view of the city and Mehrangarh fort.
Myth is that a person, who was a teacher by profession, one day saw a huge statue of Lord Ganesh in the hills of Ratananda. The statue was said to have a height of 8 feet and a width of 5 feet. A temple was constructed where the statue had been found. This temple attracts thousands of devotees each year.

"Pragat Santoshi Mata, Lala Sagar, jodhpur"
Santoshi Mata Temple is situated in Lal Sagar, near Mandore, which is about 10 kilometers away from Jodhpur city. Santoshi Mata is a goddess worshipped particularly by women in India. There are several Santoshi Mata temples in various places all over India. But the temple in Jodhpur is considered among devotees as the 'original temple'.
Friday is the most auspicious day for praying in Santoshi Mata temple. It is widely believed, especially after a 1975 Bollywood super hit film with the name "Jai Santoshi Maa?, that fasting and praying in Santoshi Mata temple for 16 consecutive Fridays would bring good fortune and luck to the family.

Unluckily I couldn't get permission to use my camera in the premises of the temple, so I couldn't get you the pics of the temple but I tried to capture the immense beauty which surrounds these temples.
Hope you'll like my efforts
