Listen to the Sight of Music

Mick (Now in stories)

Music! A part of everyone's life. From that first jack-in-the-box to heavy metal, jazz, classical, country and western or good old rock 'n roll, whatever your tastes, we all love music.

For this essay, you can't hear it, though perhaps you can just use your imagination. Listen to Ray ask himself "What'd I Say?" or Mick tell us that he "Can't get no Satisfaction." Maybe it can bring back some memories of a favourite old smoky jazz club, going wild at a rock extravaganza or your first symphony concert.

I hope it brings back a memory or two!

Mi first concert ever was Santana. I was 14 and my dad drove a bunch of friends and me there. He brought a Time mag to read and ended up with us, climbing a fence to get in the field, and dancing to the latin rock grooves of Black Magic Woman and Oye Como Va. Great memories!

The memories are timeless. Thye are not only powerful, but as said, in your narrative, Music is a part of everyone's life. OK, I have it on all day. As for the images, these are of the most important 'Generation' in music, crossing all genre's. Brilliant work.

These classic artists' music has carried us through the decades. What a fantastic collection of photos of the musicians who defined our culture.
