Bluebonnet Trail

Each April Ennis, Texas showcases over 40 miles of mapped bluebonnet trails. They are the oldest known in the state. In 1997 the Texas state legislature declared historical Ennis the official bluebonnet city of Texas and home of the official bluebonnet trails. Each spring thousands of visitors explore these winding routes, stopping to not only take pictures of bluebonnets and other wildflowers blanketing roadsides, fields, and hillsides, but additional lovely and charming aspects of country life.
