Spring has finally sprung!!

I have lived in New England for 3 years now and can honestly say that I have experienced every extreme imaginable as far as weather goes. Coming from Florida it has been a huge adjustment. We were greeted 3 years ago with record snow fall... Since we never lived in the snow, we made the best of it and had a blast. Since then there have been tornadoes, earthquakes (yes, I said earthquakes!) hurricanes, tropical storms, record heat and record low temps. This past winter seemed like it would NEVER end. Even when it was technically over it just didnt feel like spring. Now we can say spring is finally here! The trees are turning green, the flowers are in full bloom and it is oficially safe to wear flip flops! Winter can truly start to wear on you but the good thing is, it really makes you appreciate the sun that much more. Looking forward to more fun with my family and here's to hoping I'm not complaining about the heat in two weeks. (It's almost like I'm a true New Englander now)

Beautiful essay, Felicia. Sure gets my vote. I lived in Maine for eight years, so I strongly relate to New England weather.
