Photo Essay

When in Doubt, Play

This is the second year I had the privilege of taking photos at the dress rehearsal for the spring performances of the Chamberlain School of Performing Arts in Plano, Texas, where both my granddaughters attend classes. I arrived at the event fully aware of the photographic challenges of ever changing lighting and fluctuating movements. Conflicting sources left me uncertain over the best settings to use. Instead of getting uptight over that, I played. I ended up deleting a number of shots, but got some keepers, too, including this series I took of a colorful modern dance act, using continuous high speed shutter release.
