Toronto...That toddlin' town, the city that never sleeps and when I moved from there to Winnipeg in the early 70's, I left my heart in Toronto.
Toronto is the largest city in Canada and has recently overtaken Chicago as the fourth largest city in North America behind Mexico City, New york and Los Angeles. The order doesn't really matter. The fact is that it is a big city with all the big city pros and cons, beauty and ugliness. For this photo essay, lets celebrate the beauty it offers.
The provincial capital of the province of Ontario and also the cultural, entertainment and financial capital of Canada, Toronto is one of the most muticultural cities in the world. A city of distinct neighbourhoods, you can travel from Chinatown to Greektown to Little Italy and Little India in a matter of hours. Literally a trip around the world at a budget price.
If you're a sports fan , Toronto has one of the oldest and most celebrated hockey teams in the NHL, a Major League baseball team, an NBA team and a Canadian Football League team.
The bottom line is that as big cities go, Toronto is a pretty great place to live!
