What city do you live in? What neighborhood?
Los Angeles, California USA
What are some adjectives that describe your neighborhood?
Located in the posh artsy neighboring Beverly Hills and Central LA
How long have you lived there, and what brought you there?
Recent well-known discovery
What is your favorite thing about this place? Your least favorite?
The installation is a frustrated gathering of the mundane and obvious technology that many do not take notice until it lacks its fundamental function.
By bringing it together in a large cluster of a carefully arranged grid, it forces the viewers to see it for what it is - a structure worth anticipating.
Do you feel that you belong there?
Do I feel like a lamp post at times in a large crowd of people? Sure! If everyone can admit that they are just as plain as the next person, I could belong here.
What is the most common misconception about where you live?
That Beverly Hills area is surrounded by ritzy glam of the rich and famous. Not even close!
What is a special fact about your city that you have to live there to know?
A 82 year old great-grandmother Mayvis Coyle got a $114 jaywalking ticket for not walking fast enough across the street when the light changed from "Walk" to "Don't Walk". She became famous after that. Only in LA.
What aspect of your city do you secretly love?
The Sun. :)
Anything else you'd like to add?
1 + 1 = 1 too many in people in LA.
