Dreaming of a White Christmas

Even when I was a kid, I did wish that someday I could spend white Christmas. My wish came true in 2003 when I visited Helsinki (Finland) and Stockholm (Sweden) for the first time.
Feeling like as a kid, I removed my shirt and went outside at the balcony of my friend's house. Standing half naked, I waited for the white flakes of snow to touch my head, eyelids and down to my shoulders...It was unusual chill outside the freezing environment. It was liberating and exhilarating moment since most of my adulthood years was spent in the tropics!
Another opportunity came when my cousin invited me to spend Christmas in Canada with her family in 2007. Being there, a lot of first times happened unexpectedly. Of course on a positive way.
Until now, it is still vivid in my mind of that early morning when I looked outside from the window and everything is white! It was an amazing experience especially when I touch the smoothness and whiteness of the fresh snow - a white mantle covering all over the place of Mississauga. Without a second thought, together with my cousin's little kids, I built my first snow man...
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white...
Note: The song is one of the popular Christmas songs of all times written by Irving Berlin in 1942.
